We not only strive to give our guests the best experience, but also to offer our team a great place to work and we follow the Fat Duck values in our everyday work. Located in the heart of the beautiful lakeside township of Te Anau, we look forward to serving you soon.
About Us
Join us at The Fat Duck Gastropub whatever the occasion. Our venue is perfect for a meal with friends or family for a relaxed dining experience with a welcoming atmosphere. Our bar area is a vibrant place to have a drink after work along with seasonal events such as sport on the big screen and live music to enjoy.
Our talented Chefs have recently revamped the menu to welcome in the new season and to bring you the best of modern New Zealand flavours. Our popular Te Anau restaurant has an extensive menu available for lunch and dinner all year round. Check out our Vegan menu with fresh flavours to suit all diners. We also have daily blackboard specials and our produce is sourced locally to ensure we can bring you the freshest of ingredients to satisfy your tastebuds.
Experience
The Fat Duck Gastropub has the perfect ambience for casual drinks and meals through to corporate functions. Our services include daily happy hour, big-screen tv, free wi-fi and a children’s menu. Our premises is also available for private functions and catering services.
At the heart of our site is the bar area which has an easy flow to the dining areas, both indoor and outdoor. Our indoor restaurant seating area is cosy and relaxed with a view out into the town centre and on those warmer days that stretch into the long summer evenings, the outdoor paved seating area is the ideal place to eat and drink with your friends while watching the sun go down.
Beverages
Our extensive range of beverages will keep you happy, hoppy and hydrated. We are proud to present to you our range of New Zealand beers by Speights, Steinlager, Panhead, Emersons, Invercargill Brewery and Macs. If wine is more to your taste, we have a wide range to suit all meal matches including the range of New Zealand wines from Wither Hills, Mount Difficulty and Amisfield.
Of course we also serve a wide range of soft drinks and hot drinks to keep your thirst quenched. Hot drinks are also available as a takeaway option. Why not try our turmeric latte?
